School Council
At SS John & Monica’s, we have an active School Council. The council is made up of pupils from Year 1 to Year 6, who are elected by their class to represent them. The council aims to improve the school by listening to the children in their class and sharing their ideas in school council meetings with the School Council leader, Miss Nolan.
The School Council meets regularly and gives pupils many opportunities to share ideas and contribute to improving our school. They learn to take part in meetings, listen, take notes, debate issues, think about budgets, prioritise spending, organise fundraising, feedback information to their classes, meet with various school stakeholders, e.g., the Head Teacher and catering Manager, and oversee projects.
SS John & Monica Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
An example of our School Council Meeting Schedule.
School Council Meetings Meetings will be held in the Forest School with Miss Geoghegan. Please encourage the School Council to discuss the agenda with your class before each meeting and bring any feedback/ideas to the meeting. |
