International Partnerships

At SS John & Monica’s School, we look for exciting opportunities to extend children’s learning and understanding of the world around them, both near and far!

As part of our curriculum, we have made partnerships with schools in other countries through our International Erasmus Project in the past so that we can learn about how children live and work, what it is like to live in other places, what the geography and landscape of the area is like, the food that people eat in different locations, the music and art of the country, transport and travel, diversity—understanding the differences that make us all unique and special and the history of these other places.

We are currently linked with schools in Sweden through the Birmingham Catholic Primary Partnership Erasmus + Programme.

Our head teacher and other teachers have visited schools in international settings. In recent years, we have maintained a strong link with our Swedish Partnership schools and have had 3 Swedish Head Teachers shadow Mrs Elliott and learn about the British Education system. They have also shared experiences about Sweden with our children. Through the Erasmus project, we have also hosted 25 international teachers and 25 students from the following countries: Sweden, Turkey, Czech Republic and Spain.
