At SS John and Monica Catholic Primary School, we are proud to be a welcoming, inclusive and caring Catholic community, where every child is recognised as a unique and precious individual, created and loved by God.

Our mission is at the heart of everything we do. It shapes our relationships, guides our decisions and inspires our commitment to providing the very best education and care for every child.

We believe that education is about much more than academic achievement. Our aim is to nurture the whole child, enabling every pupil to flourish spiritually, morally, socially, emotionally, physically and academically.

We want our children to be happy, confident and resilient individuals who recognise their own gifts and talents, value the uniqueness of others and develop the knowledge, skills and character to make a positive contribution to society.

Our Catholic identity is reflected in the way we live, learn and treat one another each day.

Preparing Children for Life

Inspired by Jesus' commandment to love God and love our neighbour as ourselves, we encourage our pupils to look beyond their own needs and recognise their responsibility towards others.

We want our children to develop a strong moral compass, an understanding of right and wrong, respect for different beliefs and cultures, and a commitment to making the world a better place.

Through prayer, worship, charitable activities, service to others and our everyday interactions, children learn that faith is something to be lived through words and actions.

We also encourage our pupils to care for God's creation, appreciate the beauty of the world around them and recognise their responsibility to protect our common home.
